Celebrate Autumn With Bright Florals!
From now until the holidays, you can create and gift some of the most
beautiful floral arrangements that celebrate autumn. With every
imaginable shade of gold, brown and red, autumn is the most colorful
season of the year. Autumn flower arrangements that reflect the splendor
of the season make for perfect gifts this time of the year.
Because fall is so colorful, you have a vast array of flowers from which
to choose when you create your autumn floral centerpiece. You can
celebrate this season in true style with a wide variety of colors. These
include reds, yellows, oranges and even deep purple.
Take a look out the window and look at the foliage. Try to create this
look in your floral arrangements. Although you cannot match Mother
Nature, you can sure give her a run for her money when you use your
imagination and talent to create an autumn centerpiece. This can grace
the center of any table and is relatively easy to create.
In order to create any type of floral centerpiece, you need to have
certain tools and supplies. While you will always be buying flowers and
fillers, you should have the following on hand when you are creating
your floral centerpieces:
Floral foam (either fresh or silk foam)
Wire cutters for cutting wires and flowers
Floral wire (for wreaths as well as long wire pieces)
Floral pins (for moss or mulch)
Moss or other filler (this can be green or dried)
Floral tape
You can purchase these items in just about any craft store that sells
floral products. Most craft stores sell these types of items. You can
store the items in a tool box and then pull them out whenever you are
ready to create one of your masterpieces. You might also want to have a
glue gun and glue sticks as this can come in handy when you are creating
wreaths as well as gluing the foam into the container. A low temperature
glue gun is always good to have on hand when you are creating any type
of craft.
Container Ideas
If you are creating a centerpiece, you are going to want to be sure that
the container
looks good from all angles. Keep in mind that the top
flower in the centerpiece (the height of the centerpiece, in other
words) should be double the height of the container. You may need a lot
more flowers than you think. If the flowers are too short to reach this
height, you can add to them by placing a floral wire against the flower
and taping it up with green floral tape.
You can use any type of container to create a centerpiece for your
autumn floral arrangement. Cornucopias, pumpkins or even apple baskets
will work just great. Remember that pumpkins are not just for Halloween,
but the entire fall season.
Once you start creating your autumn floral arrangements, you may wish to
give them as gifts to others or may even decide to sell them at local
bazaars. After realizing how easy it is to create your arrangement, you
will most likely want to create more to decorate your home for this
colorful time of the year.
