Been having some really chilly weather so far. May get some snow by the 25th, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Made some homemade suet for my birds. Really easy, just took a pine cone, some Crisco shortening, mixed in some bird seed, some fat drippings (optional), put it all in the pine cone and hung it outside. The birds just love it. Chopped nuts can be used too or pieces of fruit, it’s a lot cheaper than the store bought variety. So now as I’m waiting for the snow to arrive I can watch the birds enjoy their new food supply.
