With all the plentiful rain this year, the trees have not been stressed out as in the past few years. As a result the Autumn colors should be spectacular this year. I can hardly wait, although it does mean summer is coming to an end. This summer has been rather mild and never got really hot, so I can’t complain. As soon as the trees begin turning here in Tennessee I will be sure to post some pictures. In the meantime if any of you have Autumn photos you would like to send me please do, I’ll be happy to post them.
The picture below is one taken by a neighbor of mine a few years back of our lake.

Seems like the rain just does not want to quit. Been raining most of the month. Everytime I go outside I end up in a small puddle. The ground is thoroughly saturated and needs a good rest to dry out. It really looks like this will be a short summer and fall weather will be settling in early. I don’t mind the cooler weather I feel much better and can get out and do more.
HOPE EVERONE IS ENJOYING THE LAST OF THIS SUMMER, I can’t believe it is almost August already. Where do the days go?

Now that the fires are extinguished, the rains have been coming and coming and coming. We have had flood warnings the past two weeks. Tomorrow is supposed to be rain again then one nice day and more rain. I guess there is no end to mother nature’s fury.

Just when I thought all that fluffy stuff was gone, wouldn’t you know it. Today it had the nerve to show up again. The day started out with rain but by this afternoon it turned into snow. Now the weather forecaster is calling for a couple of inches by morning. Oh, well I’m glad I have nothing important planned to do requiring me to take the car out. The roads will probably be a bit slick in the morning and the ride down the mountain can be a bit tricky at time if you’re not used to traveling in the snow.

It’s hard to believe that this is the very last time ever that anything will be published for 2008. It has been a busy year for me. Between my websites and a short stay in the hospital, but luckily all has gone well. Here’s hoping 2009 will fair better. Hopefully the weather in Tennessee will do much better this year too. We have had quite a bit of rain these past few months (which has been very much needed). Maybe 2009 will not see a draught in any of the Tennessee areas. The farmers could use a break this coming year that’s for sure. Here’s wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Take time out to enjoy your surroundings and family, nothing is more important. God Bless.
